Examples of the end products Krysteline machines are able to produce for the materials processing industry

The quality of processed material is determined by the feedstock quality, moisture content and installed technology. The Krysteline strategy is to diligently consider the feedstock and provide the technology which ensures the client’s expectations are met.

Product quality can range from aggregates to fully purified sands and powders for filtration and abrasives.

Unscreened

Implosion only
Mixture of sizes of sharp free glass cullet from <12mm on standard Imploder settings
Non-glass contamination remains the same as it was in the feedstock, glass liberated from these items during the Implosion process.
Non-glass can be easily separated post process such as caps, labels and corks from a container glass feedstock for example.

Screened Coarse

Example size: 8-12mm
Imploded and screened
Screened at 12mm (dependant on contamination levels) the majority of non-glass contamination can be removed.
Further screening can separate the glass in to additional size fractions.

Density Separated

Example size: +10mm (light fraction removed)
Imploded, screened and air density separated
Glass is subjected to air density separation
Material must be screened before density separation
Light fraction and glass components are separated from each other leaving a much cleaner product.

Screened Fine Product

Example size: <5mm
Imploded and screened
Almost all non-glass contamination is removed at this fraction, only minor amount of light fraction material remains.
Air density separation can remove remaining light fraction.

Sand/Coarse Grit

Specific example size: 0.5-1.4mm
Primary Implosion, coarse screening to remove non-glass contaminates, secondary Implosion followed by air density separation and fine screening
Multiple sizes available from a single screener
Material must be dry to achieve effective screening at fine sizes.

Fully Refined

Specific example size: 1.4-3mm
Fully refined glass cullet; produced by Imploding the glass component of a mixed glass feedstock to liberate any non-glass and to utilise size separation to remove the non-glass contaminates. Once the majority of non-glass material is removed the material is pyro dried removing all remaining non-glass and organics. Once cooled the material is further size reduced and screened into specific fractions to client's requirements.

Fully Refined Sands

Example size: 1.5mm
Fully refined sterile glass cullet from a purification plant is subjected to further processing by a mill. This produces fine sands and powders down to 75µm.

Powder

Example size: <1.5mm
Fully refined sterile glass cullet from a purification plant is subjected to further processing by a mill. This produces fine sands and powders down to 75µm.
